Here's Lodin in his, "Go'en to the Althing on Thor's day morning's best". Apparently he figures he'll still need some protection if they follow through bringing suit over those trespassing sheep. Lodin swears he'll skin his only thrall alive if this gets too expensive. All morning he's been grumbling that he never used to settle afairs with cash, when a sword or axe would have made swift settlement. Things aren't so anymore.
Althings aren't any better.
