Fjellborg Vikings

Lodin's Gallery:

Lodin's Pouch
Lodin's Birka Pouch Inside of flap, Birka Pouch Here is my new pouch, made with hack-silver ornaments, punched with typical period designs and gripping beast painted background. The pouch is often referred to "the Birka pouch", after a find of similar design. The picture to the right shows the inside of the cover flap, where the back straps are seen. Those are used to rivet the ornaments onto the leather.

The leather used is veg-tanned and oiled, the stitching is linen.

Belts and Trim
Belt for Arinbjorn I made this belt for Arinbjorn as a gift, for his hard work for Fjellborg.

Two More Belts
All of these belts were made with buckles that were purchased from second hand stores. The brass also was purchased there... when they had it further reduced at 1/2 price of junk prices!
The stamps are replicas of actual Viking age stamps from assorted jewelry and trim stamps, drilled and ground into recycled punches and chisels, also from junk stores.
