My Drinking Horn
I made this drinking horn with a dagged design which is similar to the Oseberg horns. Though the Oseberg horn trim were cast patterns in silver, this is brass with stamped patterns. The steel stamps I made, are copies of stamps used to make typical Viking age stamped patterns on other horns, belt hardware and jewelry.
I used brass hinge pins as rivets and they are peened over on the inside, then bee's wax was melted and coated the interior.
