This afternoon, a friend of ours, a member of Fjellborg Vikings and Vikings Vinland/The Vikings, Richard Rombough passed away due to a massive heart attack. Rick (or by his Viking persona, Farman) was perhaps known only to those of our readership living in Denver, or those who met him at my house, but we will remember him as a kind and generous person, quick to lend a hand and helpful to anyone who asked. His crafting and warm hearted friendship will be missed. Cremation and services are being planned as a sister is flying to Denver now. I will post contact information for those who wish to pass on condolences, as soon as I have it.

I was going to hang out at his house this Thursday... He was a good friend to my son and I. We're going to miss him- and I mean, lots... My bracers are the more special to me now. My heart goes out to all of you who knew him better than I. Please keep me posted on funerary arrangemets.

Sincerely,
Travis and Ravan Butterworth

News of the passing of Richard Rombough, a member of the Fjellborg Vikings in Colorado, has been announced. Micel Folcland sends deepest sympathy to Lodin, who is on our list, and the rest of the group. This weekend, we will raise a glass in memory of a departed cuz whom we did not have the good fortune to know!

Regards, Folo
Im sure the Valkyries have taken him to his honored place at Odin's table, May the Gods feast him and treat him with all the respect he deserves! I will ask Lady Hel to make sure he gets to his rightful place.

Indeed, I would like to pass condolences on to his family. He will be very much missed, he was a good friend to all. I feel very fortunate to have one of the beautiful water bottles he made for members of the group.

Sad news, my condolences to Fjellborg and his family. I don't think I ever met Farman, but from what I read, I'm sure we would have got on well.

(From, Rick's sister, to members/readers of Denvervikings.)

We greatly appreciate the kind words and know that Rick was very happy being part of the group. I saw several notes on the cat and the house in his mailbox and I wanted to let you know that the cat is going to a good family. We will be in town this next week to finalize all of the business matters and to take care of his belongings.

Again thank you for being a part of Rick's life and we all will move forward.Rick was a very special person with some wonderful talents who we will all miss.

Thanks,
Pat Wiley
