Fjellborg Vikings
Second Annual Heritage Fair - a Timeline event. 2008
At Historic Fort Lupton Park and presented by the South Platte Valley Historical Society.
This was a show for families, history buffs, and Living History Reenactors with demonstrations by weavers, spinners, blacksmiths and other historic crafts. Included were Mountain Men, Colonial period, Revolutionary War, Early Western Explorers, Civil War, Buffalo Soldiers, Vikings and Roman Age and other living history Reenactors.
As entertainement there were bagpipers, traditional singers, dancers, and other musicians and entertainers. You could visit a 1830’s Fur Trading Fort site, an 1860’s Farm House and a 1870’s one room school. Shoot a Black Powder Rifle, Throw a Tomahawk, and participate in other craft and skills demonstrations. Guests learned about history in a fun and exciting way.
